We’re about to upgrade so (if you haven’t already joined us), you should! We have a lot of great features coming to TelSpanWeb in the next release. With better screen sharing, optimized Q&A features, recurring session scheduling and an easier way to evaluate your poll results you can have the best looking and most productive webinars around. These are just a few upgrades coming in January 2017. Take a look and see how TelSpanWeb can benefit you in your upcoming events.
New features for creating a session
We have introduced the option to upload custom event photos for each session you schedule in the Account Center. This allows you as the webinar coordinator to display custom photos on each registration page you create. This opens the possibility to get more attention for your webinars by creating a custom image that includes a speaker head shot, different company logos, or simply placing your own logo in to promote your brand.
In addition to the expanded branding options, you can now schedule recurring sessions within your TelSpanWeb account. If you regularly hold the same weekly meeting or teach classes the same day each week, you can now schedule your session so that they will repeat every day, week, or month. Then your participants can use the same link each time without having to reactivate an old link.
Send private messages in Q&A box
In the new Q&A box within the live session you are now able to privately answer individual user’s questions. If you have ever used the Q&A feature in one of your webinars, you have probably noticed that when you respond to a message it goes back to the entire audience. We realize that there can sometimes be delicate information that you don’t want to share with all of your participants.
With the improvements to the Q&A feature you can now respond to individual user’s privately. Simply decide whether you want to send it to all of the users or just the person that asked you the question before sending your answer.
Improved Screen Sharing
As with any and all updates we have improved the screen sharing tool. The feature not only contains all the features and functionality that you are familiar with, but we have now added a ‘Floating panel’ that allows presenters to interact with the session outside of their browser while they are sharing their screen. The presenter can now monitor chat messages, track incoming questions, and also see a preview of what they are currently sharing to the audience.
Additionally, we have adapted the screen share plugin to now support 4K screen resolution and above for Windows users just like we currently offer for MAC. Each Host now can control what quality they want to display to their viewers to help adapt even better to extreme bandwidth situations.
As with all updates, please navigate to a session within your account and upgrade your computer to the most recent plugin to maximize the options available to you.
Evaluating your poll results
In early 2016 we had upgraded our polling feature to allow preloaded polls to help maximize your time during your webinar. Since then, we have expanded our options and now you can preload an unlimited number of polls to ask questions, gather feedback, and generate webinar engagement. Also, one of the more frustrating parts of this feature was that you had to send results to yourself before closing each poll or the results were lost. In the new update we have added poll results to your session reporting in your Account Center. Here you can download them as a csv file and create astonishing graphs and stats in your preferred spreadsheet application.
Color Branding
One of the most unique features that TelSpanWeb offers is the ability to customize your account with your brand throughout the Account Center as well as the live webinar environment. This last year we released an update that now allows you to customize the color scheme throughout your account to really put your best foot forward.
